Welcome signs have a long history, symbolizing hospitality and warmth at the entrances of homes. They are thought to have originated in medieval Europe, where symbols on doorways signified good fortune or protection. Over time, these symbols evolved into words of welcome as literacy increased, inviting travelers and friends into one's space.
Today, welcome signs reflect personal style as much as tradition, with options ranging from classic greetings to custom designs, each offering a unique way to say, "You’re invited in." I will be choosing a welcome sign to hang to the left of my front door! I am leaning towards the rectangle wildflowers. However, I’d love to hear which option you think looks best! I’ll share a few of my favorite signs.

The sign will hang to the left of my front door. Although it isn't my house pictured on the poll below, the elements are the same—yellow siding, a window, and a red front door. Every sign has features I like, and cost about $10. Deciding isn’t easy.
